Ghosts & Goblins
By Diane D. Norgard

Ghosts and Goblins running down the street
Ghosts and Goblins looking for sweets.
The streets are scary in Port Harbor tonight.
When Halloween costumed children
Are roaming around in fright.
" You have one hour, my pretty," cackles a witch
While a Frankenstein whines about an itch.
A princess runs from a Dracula,
A pumpkin trips in front of Morticia.
Ghoulish faces that only passed in dreams
Now walk the streets a mile past Route 19.
Houses now spooky with cobwebs and candles.
Play scary music and have creaky steps.
Mother's sport flashlights and walk in groups
Behind little children wearing big hoops.
The night gets older and soon it will end
Until next year when Halloween in Port Harbor
Comes around again.
